Benefits WellSpan Hospice
- Since Hospice began at Evangelical Community Hospital in 1989, thousands of families have received hospice care in Union, Snyder, Northumberland, and surrounding counties.
- Hospice care is based on providing quality of life with special focus on comfort and pain control. Registered nurses are on call 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
- Hospice patients have a life-limiting illness and life expectancy of six months or less.
- Lights of Love proceeds help hospice provide compassionate care to terminally-ill patients and their families.
