Common Surgeries
Hip replacement surgery replaces the ball and socket joint in your hip with a prosthetic. Used to treat osteoarthritis, hip osteonecrosis, various types of arthritis, and hip fractures.
WellSpan Orthopedics offers both posterior hip replacement and, for qualified patients, anterior hip replacement.
Knee
Knee replacement surgery replaces all or parts of injured or worn-out knee joints with artificial joints. Commonly used to relieve arthritis pain.
This surgery uses small incisions to view the knee joint. This allows doctors to diagnose and treat a range of knee problems.
Most often performed under general anesthesia, ACL reconstruction surgery replaces the damaged ligament with new ACL graft tissue.
