Heather Raymond, MRI Technologist, Earns First Bee Award
February 16, 2024
On Tuesday, February 6, 2024, Heather Raymond, MRI Technologist, Imaging Services, was presented with the Bee Award. She is the first recipient of this newly introduced recognition.
The Bee Award is given to a clinical, non-nursing employee who serves as a role model of putting patients first and working cohesively with team members to provide the best possible service.
Nominated by Heidi Lehman, Imaging Tech Aide, stated in her nomination, “Heather is an excellent MR tech and team lead; she always leads by example. Safety is always on her mind when confirming and speaking with patients prior to their MRI. Heather oversees techs at Selinsgrove Imaging Center and Urgent Care of Evangelical; so, she has picked up more responsibility recently, but she is still considerate and compassionate with patients when caring for them in MRI, whether they are inpatients or outpatients. She is also great as a team lead with communication and guidance in our department here at Evan!”
Raymond was surprised with the award presentation which was done in front of her Imaging Services team members both in person and via Teams, as well as Hospital leadership.
Raymond began her time at Evangelical as a Radiologic Technologist at the Selinsgrove Imaging Center in May 2022. A year later she moved into the role of MRI Technologist at the Center, being further recognized as the MRI Team Lead in July 2023.
