WellSpan Evangelical Named America’s Best-in-State Employer

LEWISBURG – WellSpan Evangelical Community Hospital has been recognized today on the prestigious Forbes list of America’s Best-in-State Employers as an outstanding mid-size employer in Pennsylvania. This award is presented by Forbes and Statista Inc., the world-leading statistics portal and industry ranking provider.
“As one of the larger employers in the Greater Susquehanna Valley, we take great pride in creating a work environment that not only provides for our team members financially, but also places an emphasis on their mental and physical well-being, in an environment that is welcoming, supportive, and inclusive of different ideas and beliefs,” said Kendra Aucker, senior vice president of WellSpan's North Region and president of WellSpan Evangelical Community Hospital. “This stamp of recognition affirms our belief that providing a favorable work environment makes it possible to have the highest caliber of team members working every day to provide the best possible healthcare facilities for our patients.”
Forbes and Statista selected the America’s Best-in-State Employers 2024 through an independent survey applied to a vast sample of approximately 45,000 American employees working for companies with more than 1,000 employees in America. The evaluation was based on direct and indirect recommendations from employees that were asked to rate their willingness to recommend their own employers to friends and family. Employee evaluations also included other employers in their respective industries that stood out either positively or negatively.
WellSpan Evangelical Community Hospital was also recognized on Forbes America’s Best Employers list this year.
