Evangelical Community Hospital Raises Organ Donation Flag, Honors Gift of Life Donors

Craig Lewis and Cassandra Lewis (pictured far right) are the husband and daughter of Suellen Lewis, who chose to be an organ and tissue donor and gave that gift of life in 2021 upon her passing. The Lewis’ were present in Suellen’s honor at the flag raising ceremony. Representing Evangelical from left to right are: Katelyn Sheesley, RN, Critical Care; Kelly Solomon, RN, Director of Critical Care and Maternal Child Care; and Marion Sechler, RN, Charge Nurse, Critical Care.

Candi Taylor, MSN, RN, ONC, Director of Operations-Orthopaedics at Evangelical (far right) committed to giving one of her kidneys as a living donor in 2018. Her gift was received by a man in Hazleton and both are doing well post-donation. She was one of the people recognized at Evangelical’s flag raising ceremony bringing awareness to organ donation.
