Financial Arrangements
When facing surgery, you may have questions or concerns about the financial aspects involved. To help answer your questions and simplify the registration process, one of our patient account representatives will call you to talk with you about these issues. The representative will:
- Ask you for your insurance coverage information
- Answer – or help you find answers to – your questions
- Register you for your procedure
- Submit a request for your insurance company to cover the routine costs involved with your care. This includes your pre-surgical testing, surgery, and recovery
- Advise you of any costs you may need to pay in advance of your procedure
If you don’t receive a call at least 48 hours before your surgery, please call us at 570-524-6700.
What You Should Know About Surgery, Costs, and Insurance:
- Depending on your procedure and insurance coverage, you may need to pay a deductible, co-pay, or other costs in full prior to your surgery
- If you have Medicaid insurance, you will need to bring a current, valid Medicaid ID with you to the hospital
- Cosmetic and dental procedures require full payment in advance
- You may receive separate bills from your doctor and anesthesiologist and also for any pathology or laboratory services involved
